Grace for the moment

Hello Ladies,
This morning I began reading the prayers of the prophets. I began reading in Ezra this morning, and I came across the best verse ever. "But now for a brief moment grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us an escaped remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage." Ezra 9:8 I was just amazed at how Ezra noticed that grace had been shown to the people. I personally always think of grace in conjuction with Jesus, but this passage and period of time occured before Jesus came to earth. It's amazing to know that God can give us grace for a moment, it makes me think about how I extend grace. Who needs grace for a moment in your life? Remember God does give you grace for every moment of your life. I was also blown away by verse 13 of chapter 9, which state "since You our God have requited us less than our iniquities deserve..." Let that sink into your heart for a minute, the NIV version uses the word punishes instead of requited. God punishes or requites us less than our sin deserves. Knowing that makes me praise God and calls me to be humble in how I treat others. May God constantly give you grace for the moment.
